This is, and will be one of the greatest multiplayer World War II shooters of all time. Hundreds of hours have been spent storming the beaches of Normandy. Three games make the series: Allied Assault, Spearhead, and Breakthrough. Each added an amazing singleplayer campaign and new multiplayer content like player models, maps, game modes, and guns. All the games feature an amazing soundtrack.
Call of Duty Series
Back in 2003 Call of Duty was the direct competitor to Medal of Honor, and eventually took its place. The first Call of Duty featured beautiful graphics, iron sights, and prone stance. Multiplayer maps were big with a variety of game modes. United Offence added even more game modes along with drivable vehicles. Call of Duty 2 furthered the graphics, and tightened up gameplay, with smaller maps. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare brought the game to modern day combat. It added a level system that unlocks gear as you progress. Call of Duty 5: World at War took us back to World WAr II and introduced Nazi Zombies.
Half-Life Series
Some consider it the best game ever; I would agree. You play as Gordon Freeman. Late on your first day for work at Black Mesa you realize; you should have been later. Half-Life has a perfect campaign; with the mod Sven Coop you can enjoy it with friends. Same goes for Opposing Force and Blue Shift. Than Half-Life 2 came out and blew us away! Amazing graphics, intelligent AI and epic physics. You can also play it coop with a mod. Speaking of mod there are a lot, just like Half-Life. Of course Episode 1 and 2 are just as good.
Counter-Strike Series
It started as a mod back in the day and grew up a leader in competitive online shooters. Some of us played it back on 1.6 but together the clan started with Counter-Strike: Source. Hundreds of hours were dumped into this extremely fun shooter. We've done it all, glass break, surf, jailbreak, gun game, even that crap ice world map. Now with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive were back in the thick of it with better map layouts, custom gun skins and more.
Supreme Commander
Supreme changes our idea of zooming out, and nothing has compared since. Massive battles are fun as you try to bolster your economy. The new Cheating AI make a great (hold out as long as possible) game and we have enjoyed the challenge.
Dawn of War
Back in its prime Dawn of War was one of the best-looking strategy games released. For us as a group it took quite a few years afterwards to start playing it together. It is a very challenging game; few battles were won. We modded the game which pulled the camera out and removed some unit caps. Dawn of War 2 has RPG elements but unfortunately removed base building which removed our interest.
Fallout Series
The fallout series for us started with Fallout 3. It's like a retro modern Oblivion with guns and foul language. Fallout 3 for some members was completed fully—every quest, and maps location found. New Vegas gave us a better story and many late nights completing it.
Empires: Dawn of the Modern World
Easily our most played RTS game, as we still play it today. Empires has excellent graphics for it's age. The game progresses through the Medieval age up to World War II, with 8 unique playable countries. Turtle up your base like we always do. First wall, than economy, next bolster the military, finaly we attack!
The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion & Skyrim
Once upon a time someone told me you could have an open world RPG with amazing graphics; I laughed in their face. Then The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was released. This was the game that made me realize videogames could do anything. It start by making your character. Then exploring a massive world completing quests and killing monsters along the way. With Skyrim, giving us an even better experience than Oblivion. You could easily dump hundreds of hours into both these games. That's not even mentioning all the mods.
Minecraft
For us it started with someone on YouTube asking people for help to build a one to one scale, Star Trek Enterprise. We thought the game was so ugly, but its blocky look keep our interest as we saw more of the game. Long story short, We own it and love it now.
Garry's Mod
A game that is about everything like, building ridiculous creations, also has great RP servers which include simulations like: trying to be the mayor; joining the resistance to take down the 3rd Reich and an incompetent Hitler; you and a friend get into a fist fight outside the police station, followed by you both being arrested – then sometime later you both meet up again and your friend is missing an arm. Gmod also has impractical things like: Having little kids scream at you; find a terrorist out of a group idiots. And let's not forget multiplayer Slenderman and Dayz — which are better than the originals.
Battlefield Series
Battlefield 2 was the big daddy FPS. It was our first modern combat on a huge scale. The multiplayer demo map Gulf of Oman was incredible. Fond memories of Vince attempting a pickup atop the crane with a DSL connection; It didn't work out. We also backtrack to play some Vietnam at some point. The music in Vietnam is the best. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 brought a fun campaign, nice graphics, and a working rank progression. Then Battlefield 3 the next gen game released in 2011.
Sven Co-op
Sven Co-op (a Half-Life mod) has evolved into its own free game. The group has enjoyed hundreds of maps the game has. The original Half-Life campaign, Blue Shift, Opposing Force, and They Hunger.
Killing Floor
Killing Floor is the game we all could get on and just play for fun. Its six-player support made it perfect for big group events. The game has aged considerably and that’s why for the first time the clan came together to buy a six-pack of Killing Floor 2.
Doom 3
Doom 3 is on this list because of one reason; the last man standing mod, which adds cooperative play to the campaign. We play through the entire campaign along with the Resurrection expansion all in one sitting. It was one of the most fun times we had in such a short period of time
MMO
Thang Global We call it the chicken game. This is our first MMORPG we played together, and was our gateway to the universe of massively multiplayer games.
Silkroad Online This was the first MMORPG we played for more than two weeks. We would get on for about a month out of every year; whenever we needed to scratch that MMO itch. The game has decent looking graphics, standard MMO combat and three end-game jobs. This was also the first game we made a guild famously called the Flying Phoenix clan.
Voyage Century Online This was the next big MMORPG we played together. Like Silkroad it lasted less than a month out of the year. The graphics were atrocious; gameplay was also very bad, at least on land. Most of the time you would be "watching" as a squirrel jumped kicked off your face or cutting down a tree for 30 minutes or watching seeds grow. The coolest part about the game was you got your own ship. You could navigate it through the oceans of the world finding buried treasure on islands, fighting pirates and landing at other ports. All in all it was a decently fun game.
Anarchy Online This one only lasted about a week. It takes place in the future, and looked interesting. We didn't get into it enough to know much about it.
Entropia Universe This is another MMO we only played a number of times. The games universe is very large scaling multiple planets and has many gameplay concepts. Most notable things are the game now uses the Cry Engine 2 and the sucking noise dance. FYI CNN apparently owns hundreds of acres of land in-game.
